Notes:

1 This is a re-print of a work previously published.

2 This book is a compilation of a series of articles that appeared in McClure’s magazine between January 1907 through June 1908 with Georgine Milmine listed as the sole author. It is known that author Willa Cather had some involvement in the writing and editing of these articles as well, although the exact extent of her involvement is the subject of some debate. The edition noted here is an exact re-print of the original 1909 edition. There is another re-print available from 1993, which includes an introduction by David Stouck, a former professor at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. The original book is no longer under copyright.

3 This work was originally published in 1907. It is a compilation of essays written by Mark Twain that were published in Cosmopolitan magazine, beginning in 1899 when the first one appeared. This book can be read for no charge at Project Gutenberg at this link.

These works are in the public domain and are no longer under copyright. There are a number of different editions and adaptations of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures in publication now, both in print and on-line. Mary Baker Eddy’s previously unpublished writings, wherever they may exist, remain under copyright by the Christian Science Board of Directors, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Throughout this blog, unless indicated otherwise, I will only cite the editions of Eddy’s writings that are published by The Christian Science Board of Directors. Some of Eddy’s works that are no longer under copyright can be read for no charge at Project Gutenberg.

5 This is an adapted version of the original Webster’s Dictionary of the English Language, which was published in 1828 as An American Dictionary of the English Language. This is the dictionary that Mary Baker Eddy would have used, and those who make a deeper study of her writings, and the Bible, usually have Webster’s original dictionary, or this Student’s Reference Dictionary in their reference library. Visit this website for more information.

I would like to acknowledge the author of the blog Kindism, from which many of these biographical listings were gleaned. Please visit their Resources page for listings of additional resources of interest.
