Every so often, I’ll come across an article or blog post that so perfectly states how I feel, or what I’ve been through, that I feel like I could have written it myself, except that, especially in this case, the author has said it way better than I could. This article contains a lot of wisdom for life, and is much more helpful and substantive than a million platitudes and crappy memes.

Thank you for posting this. Human life is not a tv drama where everything resolves neatly at the hour’s end. Much of it is messy and painful. The comfort of this piece, lies in knowing others see life and experience for what it is. I detest the flippant response,”it must be your karma,” suggesting yet again that you brought this on yourself.
Some people are awkward with silence, feeling that saying something is better than nothing at all. Sharing your presence is everything…..the rest is just more baggage.
When I was an active Christian Scientist ,often I was told that my prayers were defective because I was raised a RC(Roman Catholic) or that I hadn’t prayed “enough.”
I can remember feeling the sadness of being defective, and always trying to play catch up with rightness. Happily,I don’t live there any more. God accepts me right where I am, and while I expect myself to live morally and ethically, there is no “enough” to worry about any more.
